Lost In The Future For A Day

Synopsis

Andrei Vasiliu, a 33 year old engineer from Iași, retreats alone to his mountain cabin, tired of the world’s noise and of an emptiness he can no longer fill. On the first night, under a sky full of stars, he feels a strange peace. The next day, while walking through the forest, a thick fog suddenly surrounds him. When he steps out of it, everything has changed.

In place of the forest stretches a strange city of glass towers and floating cars. It is Los Angeles, the year 2053.

Confused and afraid, Andrei discovers a world where nature has vanished, people live connected to digital networks, and emotions are seen as weakness. There he meets Lory, an enigmatic woman who seems to have been waiting for him. Together, they try to understand how he arrived there and whether he can ever return.

Andrei’s journey through this cold future becomes a reflection on lost humanity and the power to dream.

Lost in the Future for a Day is a poetic story about time, love, and identity. It is a window into a possible future, but also a warning. When we forget nature, we lose ourselves.
