Synopsis

In a war-torn Japan, where a name can bring glory or death, one man chooses a different path.
Sasaky Kumbei does not seek fame. He does not seek power. After surviving an encounter with Oda Nobunaga and turning away from the road that could have made him known, he disappears into the world under another name, Hayashi Jiro.
He walks.
Across villages, mountains, and forgotten roads, he lives among farmers, craftsmen, and ordinary people. He learns to build, to work, and to listen. Years pass, and the sword becomes something else. Not a tool for glory, but a reflection of patience and balance.
But the past does not vanish.
Drawn once more into the currents of history, Sasaky crosses paths with powerful figures of the age, including Akechi Mitsuhide and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He witnesses the fall of an era and the rise of another, yet refuses to belong to either.
Beside him stands Chiyo, a woman caught between duty and freedom. She understands his path, but never tries to hold him back.
